The foundation of NOVA Bicycle Industries, a manufacturing unit of quality cycles has been laid down by the Legend in bicycle trade Sh.Harmohinder Singh Pahwa, Managing Director of NOVA Bicycle Industries who was earlier Sales Director of Avon Cycles Ltd. for more than 40 years looking after sales of Avon Cycles for all over India. The present Nova factory is located at 9-R, Industrial Area-B, P.O.Janta Nagar, Ludhiana, which is the original place from where first AVON Cycle was manufactured & introduced in the market of India.

After the mutual family division, Sh.Harmohinder Singh Pahwa along with his son Sh.Rohit Pahwa got the possession of the same premises for manufacturing the Avon Brand cycle parts like Hub, Chain, Spoke, Brake Set, Pedal & Handle along with brand name AVON in their individual company with new name AVON BICYCLE COMPONENTS PVT.LTD., with the same facilities like machinery, staff & building etc.

In the year 2002, Mr. H.S.Pahwa felt the necessity of manufacturing Complete Bicycle by using his vast experience of 40 years with cycle industry. He took this initiative because of his passion for sale of cycle & cycle Industry.

As per mutual consent among all the members of Pahwa family, Mr.Pahwa started NOVA brand complete bicycle under a partnership firm NOVA BICYCLE INDUSTRIES in the same premises and started manufacturing & selling of NOVA brand complete cycles. Nova is supplying Avon brand Chain & Hub to cycle dealers of the domestic market of India & to various units & exporters also.

NOVA factory is spreaded over 9000 Sq. Yards area at 9-R Industrial Area ‘B’, Ludhiana consisting of Paint Plant, Machinery, Production area, Research & Development Wing, Tool Room, Parking Area, Stores for Raw Material, Finished Products, Testing Labs etc.

The company has gradually increased production level from 5000 to 20000 cycles per month with the maximum production capacity of 30000 cycles monthly. The strict quality control system adopted by the company established the Nova brand in high quality segment & number of models increased upto 100+ (One hundred plus) which are being sold in the domestic market of India & enjoying the popular reputation among the customers.

NOVA has supplied bicycles under various welfare schemes to Ten State Governments namely Punjab, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Assam, Jharkhand, Oddisha, Uttar Pradesh, Andeman & Nicobar Island.

In the last Two Years Nova company upgraded its credentials by adding two top series named as Breaveheart in Hi-End segment & Nolex in Premium Economy Kids range. Lot of improvement has been done in existing models besides development of New Range Models thus made the ‘NOVA’ a modern face of the Cycle Industry.

Nova is the first company to introduce improved packing style of cycles as per export standards in the domestic market which is highly appreciated.
In the month of March 2019 within a span of 17 Years the company has crossed sales of Two & a Half Million bicycles & the turnover has crossed 100 crore. The company has modernized its enameling & phosphating plant for better finish & durability to meet the quality standards of the trade.
